This cartoon sumarizes the basic theme of our readings: don't be a dog online, anyone can find out information about you online, position yourself online so you don't look like a dog.

Article 1: I'm glad this reporter shattered peoples days by reminding them that Google isn't perfect. Sadly many people never thought that about how search engines work and that they might be keeping your information. The most interesting point in this Article was that the Government isn't worried about it. I would have thought that the government would be looking closer at laws and regulations for the Internet and media.

Article 2: I learned a lot from this article, I don't know much on how the Internet actually works. Besides all the new information I liked how they mentioned the importance of lobbyists in the process of improving technology. Once again we see that lobbyists are important.

Article 3: Professors are wonderful, I'm glad that we have a few professors at USU that help us keep up on the times. I hope people have realized that being recognized on the Internet is important by now, thankfully I had a teacher my freshman year teach us that.

11:30 Reading #1

The articles relating to email etiquette were interesting, yet I couldn't help but think that it is ridiculous that people don't think of how they should act online on their own. Now it is very important to know how you look online, employers continually look up new applicants online to learn more about them. In addition I feel that the younger generation will have a harsh reality when they realize that they actually have to spell correctly and write well. My favorite part of the second article was rule #4, regarding the fact that you don't have to send things multipul times for someone to get it. I wish more people would understand that concept.

Beginning Picture

To make this picture better I used:

1) Quick Selection tool to select just the back ground and made it a new layer

2) With the layer of the background I used the hue and saturation to help the colors pop better.

3) Next I used the original layer to cut out Chris, to do this I used the eraser tool.

4) Next step was to put the two layers together so I had to move the backgound layer behind the layer with Chris

5) Finally I did touch up with the paint brush. To get the color right I used the dropper tool to make new swatches.

The final picture now has a better contrast.

Final Picture: To fix this picture I cropped it, then I re sized the photo, then used the hue/saturation to lighten up the photo and finally used the saturation to saturate it more.

Here I was able to take Rachel McAdams and Reese Witherspoon and combine their faces using photoshop.
